Dialogue For Diversity

Dialogue For Diversity

Prisons in Northern Ireland

Dialogue For Diversity works with prisoners both before and after release.

Some of the Dialogue For Dialogue Diversity group work in the Chaplaincy Team in Maghaberry Prison. This involves

  • One-to-one meetings with prisoners when they first arrive, often a traumatic time for them;
  • Building a personal relationship of support and encouragement with as many as possible;
  • Offering the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life
  • Mediating when difficulties run into difficulties
  • Raising issues with Governors and the Department of Justice
  • Building relationships with staff.

The Group is also involved with Community Support, which is a project of Dialogue For Diversity. For more on this, click here
